The Art of Self Care

Let’s face it, life is hectic and the average nervous system is constantly in overdrive as we face daily stressors and busy schedules.

We work hard and we deserve to treat ourselves to things that are going to nourish our bodies and minds so that we can continue to show up fully in our lives and be able to take on anything life throws our way.

This is where self-care comes in.

However, self-care has become an increasingly trendy topic and something of a new-age idea.

So what is self-care exactly?  

Self-care requires discipline, dedication, and focus.  It is about integrating daily practices that bring balance and awareness to your mind, body, and spirit, which in turn assists you in living each day to the fullest. 

It can be something as simple as starting a daily gratitude journal, a bedtime ritual of lavender tea and a warm bath or introducing organic foods into your diet.  The key is to find things that work for you.
