THE BODY AS FEEDBACK. THE BODY AS BEING. THE BODY AS JOURNEY. Soma, short for somatics, is a different approach to fitness. Somatic based fitness puts body image aside and focuses more on feedback rather than capacity. Through purposeful, yoga-like movements and guided breath work, you will embark on a journey through your BODY from the insight of your MIND. Each 60 minute introductory class will include movement examples from all three of our regular classes - Restorative, Balance, and Peak - designed to create replicable movements for everyday life, isometric movements for self discovery, and fluid breath and bodywork to provide a solid framework for safer training environments during running, lifting and HIIT. Come journey with us as we decrease stress, restore balance, and improve posture and flexibility.
